  The visit can be made at no risk and at any age, on a trail that cuts into the cliff.
From cluzeaux (artificial caves) to rock shelters, on several levels, you will discover the troglodyte fortress and city. During this journey into time you will gain insight on the daily life of our ancestors, their industry, their art and their rites.
A visit booklet is available at the reception desk (in 7 languages)
A game-playing questionnaire is handed out to children during school holidays.
An educational booklet is on sale at the reception desk (2 euros). This document is intended for children, to help make their visit more active.

  Guided visit at no extra cost.
Guided visit with a demonstration of the use of a drum machine (also called a squirrel-cage).

This civil engineering machine has been implemented in due respect of medieval technology.
The hoist weighs over one tonne. By simply walking inside the wheel, a man can effortlessly lift a 500kg load. It takes three people to operate this machine: one in the cage, another to guide the rope, and one to stop the machine for safety

Open all year round, every day for unguided visits
February, March and from October to 11 November : 10am - 6pm
April, May, June, September : 10am - 6.30pm / July, August : 10am - 8pm

12 November to 31 January: 2pm - 5pm / Last admission 45 minutes before closing time
In peak season, guided visits at fixed times
